This ceramic dagger, hand-thrown and sculpted on a pottery wheel, was crafted using a Japanese Raku firing technique, to create its unique textures and colors. The raw, unglazed sections expose the natural clay, symbolizing the resilience and the experience of training in knife fighting and Kajukenbo. Titled "Dagger Emerged from Clay," this piece is the inaugural dagger in a series that delves into the relationship between ceramics and my personal history. Stay tuned for more details and pieces in this series.
